Ashley & Andrew – Campbell’s River, Vancouver Island, BC
July 7th, 2018
I first met Ashley at a baby show here in Ottawa as she sells Norwex products. We hit it off immediately and kept in touch after the event. Later on Ashley saw a boudoir special that I was hosting and she jumped at the opportunity to surprise her fiancé with some photos for valentines day as a surprise. We laughed and became close friends instantly. We also bonded over our love of Weimaraner’s. You have to love them because they are all kinds of personality and I guess that’s why we understood each other so quickly because those puppy years are no joke!
She loved the photos and why wouldn’t she, she is so beautiful inside and out! Of course we started to chat about her wedding and what she had planned but from what I recall she swooned me with the idea of it being in Vancouver Island and from this point I was hooked! I told her that it would be such an amazing experience as I have never been out to BC and that I would love to capture her wedding if she would like to interview us as a potential vendor.
A few months past, and we kept in touch. I used her photo’s to advertise my next set of boudoir photos as they were so pretty and then she finally asked to have a sit down with me and I don’t think I could sit still the entire meeting because I was extremely excited. I don’t even think she waited till she got home to say that her and Andrew thought I was the best fit and that they wanted Luc and I to join them the next year in BC – and we are so glad they did!
Ashley is in the Canadian Forces and moves around quite a bit for work and this is how she met her lifetime love, Andrew while she was working in Comox. They hit it off and the rest is history. He moved across the country with her to Pembroke, started a business together, and now Andrew has officially joined the Armed Forces along with his new wife.
Ashley and Andrew’s family welcomed us as if we were family and we had the best time on our trip. We saw so much wildlife and we were able to explore most of the island as we extended our stay by 9 days and had some time just Luc and I. This was also a huge highlight for us as we almost never travel, let alone without our little Philippe. We are excited for the next adventure and we hope to continue to travel doing what we love!
