Hi — we’re Bethany and Luc, the married couple behind Grey Loft Studio, and the two people who’ll actually be there on your wedding day. We photograph and film Ottawa weddings together, and after years of doing this side by side, we’ve learned that the best days feel less like a photoshoot and more like spending the day with friends who happen to be good with a camera.
Because we’re a couple, one of us is usually on photos and the other on video, working as one team all day. That means we can be in two places at once — both of you getting ready, the wide shot of your vows and the close-up of the happy tears at the same time — without a rotating cast of people you’ve never met.
It also keeps the day calm. We know where the light lands at 6 p.m. by the Château Laurier, how long family photos really take, and how to hold a timeline gently so you’re never sprinting. Our whole job is to make the day feel easy so you can actually be present for it.
And honestly? You spend more time with your photo and video team than almost anyone else at your wedding, so it matters that you like them. We’re low-key, we laugh a lot, and we’ll never ask you to hold a pose you’ll cringe at in ten years.
