Dreamy Boat Engagement Session at the Cottage wasn’t in the original plans. After they postponed their wedding to 2021, Emily asked if we could head up to Gananoque. They wanted us to capture them at the cottage as it’s been in the family for over 100 years. Now when you talk about cottages usually they aren’t quite so fancy. It may be the cutest cottage I have ever seen and sadly we didn’t get any photos inside, but next time we will! For now, you’ll have to love all the outside beauty this little spot has in our hearts.
Cottage Life on the Water is good for the Soul
After just getting back from the cottage ourselves it was so fun to be able to go right back with Emily & Matt. We always tell our clients that the relationship we form should be good enough to hang out. If you can invite us over for a drink on a patio or backyard, then it’s right. Without this, we can’t get the true personalities of our couples and we feel like bystanders. Inviting us on dreamy boat engagement session at the cottage is always going to get us REALLY excited. It also sparks a lot of creativity, which is a bonus! We also have a list of ideas we would LOVE to do on this BLOG.
Places that have meaning have a bigger impact
As wonderful as it is to use the most idyllic spots that have the most beautiful backdrops, picking a spot that has meant creates a bigger impact. This is true for all our couples, not only Emily & Matt. Picking this Dreamy Boat Engagement Session at the Cottage is definitely more effort but totally worth the drive. For years to come to these photos are going to bring back all the feels and it’s an honour we know makes our job so special.
Boat Rides, Champagne Toasts, & Love
We really like being the kind of friends you have who just happen to be really good with a camera. We’re not shy and we love being creative so challenge us, we promise you won’t be disappointed. Pop a bit of champagne, bring a boat, hammock, and lots of personality and we’ll capture it all as real as it was to be in person witnessing it all!
