This cliffside November Wedding at Le Belvédère for Sarah and Mike was not only beautiful, but one I will never forget. However, not forgetting isn’t for the reasons you might be thinking. Usually it’s because of how whimsical the day was, and it was. We can all admit it was a bit of a faux pas, but what followed can only be described as hilarious. Mike walked towards me right as Sarah was quite literally walking down the aisle. After all the 10 groomsmen, the 7 bridesmaids, flower girl and ring bearer. He said that he didn’t have the rings. I have to admit at first panicked. This has never happened to me before. It’s something I’ve only seen in movies. Do we pause? Can someone go get the rings? What do we do here?
Wedding History in the Making
As I turn back I see Sarah has just decided to keep walking. The officiant is talking to Mike’s parents. I have no idea what is going to happen but we decide to just move forward like nothing is going on. No one else knows what’s going on so we can just move forward. As we get to the exchange of rings the Mike proceeds to put a ring on Sarah’s finger. Before this however, they did the exchange of vows. I couldn’t tell at the time if Sarah was upset but it could have been a number of reasons. Nerves, emotions, or just trying to process the fact that Mike had this one job that really couldn’t be something even he could miss.
The officiant proceeds to the part where Sarah needs to exchange a ring and everyone starts to lose it. Sarah can’t hold back whatever she was processing and starts to laugh. Points her finger in the air and said “he had one job.” After this is was smiles the entire time. And that is how this next chapter of their love story begins. It’s not perfect, it’s real. It’s messy and beautiful all wrapped together. This is exactly the type of couples that we adore. Crazy in love and yet perfect for each other. Accepting all flaws is love in my eyes.

It’s no secret that the views at Le Belvédère are spectacular. We’ve been lucky enough to capture weddings in all 4 seasons and somehow it still takes my breath away every time I visit. Such a privilege being able capture love in such a spectacular place. I am so excited that they added a new area to take photos in. We used to try and trek back into this area but it’s much nicer now with an actual path and hang out space. The twinkle lights have to be my favourite addition. During the first dance I could see them through the windows and they just added another level of beauty to the place at night.
