Intimate Backyard Wedding Kinburn for Hailey & Seb on a beautiful sunny day in July. No wedding is complete without your closest friends and family. Lucky for us, we felt like part of it all. Luc as my second shooter for the day and it was a change of pace for us. We’ve been doing both photo & video that it was nice to focus on just photos. I met Hailey & Seb in 2019 at a surprise engagement downtown. They were super sweet and cute but of course I was pretty focused on the newly engaged couple. None of us had any idea that the plans we had for 2020 would bring us back together.
Wedding Plans changed from PEI to Kinburn
Originally Hailey and Seb were planning a wedding in PEI. This spot was special to them however so Hailey used as much of the decor, look, and feel of the day to be east coast. All the glass washed up on the beach that was collected was such a beautiful way to tie it all in together. I am a sucker for blues as well so I loved that each bridesmaid was wearing a colour and style she wanted as well. Hailey is one of my most relaxed brides you could feel this throughout the day. Nothing felt rushed, nothing felt stressed. Splendid day all around.
Kinburn Farmer’s Fields make the perfect Backdrop
Living in the country has its perks. One of the highlights for me is being able to witness love at home. It’s no secret I love a good backyard wedding as long as it’s done well. Clearly Hailey nailed it, and so did the whole family every step of the way. The beautiful wheat or oat field (still up for debate) is just icing on the cake for photos. Kinburn is where we take our children strawberry picking and it’s just a few mins from our home studio in Carp. Hailey & Seb did engagement photos at our property, you can view that here.
Pastel Blues & Suspenders on the Farm
The mixture of pastel blues and soft oatmeal suspenders mixed with grey suits blended together seamlessly. No detail was left out, however hard it is to plan this event 3 times. Mixing the east coast and country vibe isn’t easy, however Hailey and her family pulled it off flawlessly.
