Mill Street Brew Pub Wedding for Ashley & Dylan in August was one to remember. It was so lovely and every detail meticulously planned from the east coast of Canada by the bride herself. So lovely to witness these two tie the knot as you can clearly see just how deep the love they have for each other is. Everyone surrounded them also cared for Ashley and Dylan where you could feel the love just radiating.
We also got lucky and had the most incredible weather which meant we could host the ceremony outside. This was our second time capturing a wedding here, the last time was in May for Kailyn & Aaron. Definitely a win all around. All the friends and family welcomed me with open arms and I felt part of the crew since day one. Honestly it’s my favourite when that happens. Blending in with everyone is what makes capturing weddings so fun for me.
Mill Street Brew Pub Wedding – Getting Ready at ReStays Ottawa
I really love capturing getting ready at this space. They have such a stunning terrace area and a wonderful bar picture worthy space as well. There is always so much light and neutral toned rooms whenever we go. Whenever couples get married downtown it’s nice to have this option as we have so many iconic spots for photos just a few steps away. Mill Street Brewery is only a few streets away but you definitely need a ride to get from ReStays to Mill Street. However, what is wonderful is you can get all the beautiful shots downtown and then head out for sunset in and around Mill Street with the ruins, florals, and bridge.
Royal Canadian Navy Monument – Wedding Ceremony
While I had never been to this monument before, it’s truly such a great unique space just steps away from Mill Street Brew Pub for a wedding ceremony. Of course it’s a risk to be able to do an outdoor ceremony, but at least the Mill Street Brewery is a great backup as well. The weather called for sun all week so they went ahead and definitely happy they did.
The white backdrop was truly perfect for the ceremony. The team at Pollenation went ahead and created stunning florals for the day and Vision Event Rentals provided the chairs. All you’d need is a DJ who has a battery operated option for speakers and you’re set. I would however recommend a separate day of coordinator for to help with getting the wedding party lined up and for all the little details of coordination at Mill Street.
