Ottawa Engagement Session Downtown in the last bits of summer is kind of my favourite. All the flower beds are full, the grass is green, and the sunsets are epic. Sylvia and Michael asked to do photos at this location I was kind of excited and challenged myself to try out a few new spots. Having lots of fun is the always the goal and I know we achieved that! Being treated me to my first ever bubble tea in the market after the shoot is extremely kind. It’s always nice to feel the love. I do love tea and I drink it at least twice a day, so this was fun and so thoughtful to me.

Soft spot for Floral Dresses and Wedges during an Ottawa Engagement Session Downtown
Sending out examples of our engagement sessions and locations is just common practice for us. Our couples are new to this and we want them to be fully prepared. From experience, we know first hand how stressful photos can be. Organizing hair and makeup, getting fresh haircuts, new outfits, it can be a lot of work. This is why we tell our couples in advance to book these sessions far enough out so that they can get organized. Also, we always have a back up rain date just in case, even though it barely rains when it’s supposed to!

Ottawa Engagement Session Downtown Photo locations
Majors Hill Park is such beautiful spot for engagement photos in Ottawa. There are also other hidden gems around that area as well. Since Sylvia and Michael are getting married at the Chateau Laurier, it was important for them to have the photos downtown. Often I go to these spots but trying to find new little areas is really what’s super fun for me. These two are so easy to work with it makes my job super easy. Being creative is my passion. As an Ottawa Wedding Photographer being able to challenge myself even a little makes each session feel even more unique. Check out some of our favourite spots for engagement sessions and our bucket list of spots here.
