Wedding at St. Elias Cathedral with Isa & Aco on a beautiful day in June. Let me just say that this is the first wedding that’s felt close to the real thing in awhile. Lots of laughs, tears, and fun. Totally our kind of day. That’s one thing we are bringing back this summer is the fun in Weddings. As we’ve been talking to clients about timelines we are trying to incorporate fun ideas into everything to make things feel as normal as possible. As for restrictions, well they are starting to lift and it’s amazing! So many people are vaccinated and this means that we can finally do things without as much fear. For our couple, this fear definitely brought some challenges in wedding planning, however, that didn’t stop them.
Tell me about the “spark”.. What’s your Love Story?
“Our love grew through our friendship, we never had to prove ourselves to each other, we never had to try to be someone else, we always have been honest and real. It clicked and our love continues to grow everyday.”
When and how did you get engaged?
“We got engaged in November 2019 while we were in vacations in Punta Cana. Aleks proposed on the beach while we were doing a professional photo shoot.”
Plenty of Champagne for this St. Elias Cathedral Wedding
Isabelle is just glowing throughout this entire day and for good reason. She had Shannon from One Fine Beauty helping her and the girls out! So nice to see fellow wedding vendor friends! Definitely been missing seeing everyone. I know that I have quite a few more weddings coming up with some really amazing talent as well! One of my fave champagne’s for the morning of a wedding is definitely some Veuve Cliquot. It’s definitely a nice celebratory champagne that’s not to sweet!
Tropical Greenhouse, only 7 mins from the St.Elias Cathedral
For Isabelle and Alek’s engagement session, we went to this spot also! It’s a great location with plenty of variety which we love. As wedding photographers and videographers in Ottawa, this is the place to be. However, it can be fun going to new spots as well throughout the city! Across from St. Elias Cathedral, most wedding party’s head across the street to the park or stay in front of the church for wedding photos. However, I think that this is a nice change and a great spot with plenty of parking for family!
