Farm Engagement Session Almonte with Mikaila and Trent was so much fun. We love going to different locations (we have a wishlist HERE) and especially ones that have some meaning to the couple. As we arrived I noticed that they had cows in the field and immediately got excited because I have never actually shot a session with cows. Crazy! I know! How has this not happened?! I love working with fun ideas like this so I am thrilled that I was able to capture some really fun moments of the two of them. Oh, and a few cows.
Farm Session Almonte with lots of laughter
Getting our couples to feel comfortable is honestly our specialty. We know how to make sure that they are able to get the best photos by getting them to be themselves. Guiding them into what positions suit them based on height especially takes a bit of maneuvering at times, but we eventually get there! We truly call the first 10 minutes of every session a wash, but sometimes we get some pretty killer images. Some of the best ones come in the first 5 minutes believe it or not.
Fun on the farm
During an engagement session, I always love to get some action shots. Sometimes I get some push back, but usually, they end up being super fun. Ok, and maybe my favourite shots. Exploring new places such as this farm engagement session in Almonte is one of my favourites. Whenever we get asked to go to new spots we always get excited because new spots are really fun for us.
Sometimes being awkward is better
Sounds weird when you think about it. Nothing gets us more excited when our clients tell us how awkward they are. We actually hear it a lot and we kind of see it as a challenge. We aren’t competitive are we!? For this Farm Engagement Session in Almonte we wanted to bring out all the awkwardness because it works. It makes our photos look real and true to how our couples are with each other. Keeping your true selves at the heart of each photo is what we are after as no two couples are the same.
What makes our couples unique
Often we get asked if we can remove the engagement session from our packages. We have added them complimentary as of recently because so many couples wanted to remove them. Truly, they are the key success on your big day, in my opinion. Could you be ok without one? Yes, but why take that risk? What if you don’t love the photos on your wedding day? The poses? Without doing an engagement session it’s hard to know what to expect. Now that we include it, couples can experience both and sleep well knowing they’re completely prepared!
