Kristie and Scott, a love story at Stonefields Estate in Carleton Place, Ontario on a crisp fall day surrounded by so many from near and far, even Australia. How far people travel to celebrate however, is usually a testament to the couple and the strong relationships they have built among the years.

The proposal
Scott proposed to Kristie on New Years at his family cottage. After that, he suggested they go looking at the stars and took the 4wheelers down to the frozen lake, which may not sound super romantic because it’s cold, but if you knew Scott, it’s the most romantic way to start their love story. Once they arrived, Scott hopped off his bike and pretended to look at something in front of his vehicle.
For instance, he then said, “Can you hand me the small red box that’s in the console of my bike?” So she did and after that, he was already on one knee and opened the box that contained Kristie’s engagement ring and asked her to marry him.
How they met
Love story’s that happen at Stonefields is special because today it’s harder to meet people in real life, as so many love stories begin online for instance. However, they met through mutual friends at a birthday party for Chris at O’Connors’ in Kanata, Ontario.
Love story begins
Kristie wasn’t ready to meet anyone new, however, but when she met Scott all that changed. Above all else, Scott won her love and she fell for him in this instance. They are similar in so many ways that they can be their true selves when they are together.
