Spring Wedding at NAC Ottawa was such a blast to be a part of. Despite the rain this wedding was a ton of fun from start to finish. It’s funny that it also rained on their engagement session. I guess life has a funny way of connecting the dots. Alexandra & Colin are meant to be together and that was evident from the moment we met them.
Getting ready with the Bride & Groom at the Fairmont Chateau Laurier
Colin and his entourage were a few floors away from Alexandra’s room which made it easy for me to coordinate for the details and first look. Alexandra was getting ready in the Karsh Suite because her family had upgraded her at the last minute and it’s a beautiful room. Colin wasn’t as lucky but we made the intimate space work. We used the Karsh Suite for the first look (typically done outdoors with good weather) and the results were fantastic.

First Look inside the hotel
Now you know how I feel about first looks, total must. However I wasn’t sure if Colin would cry or be one of the strong silent types. I don’t think he was ready for what his wife looked like standing in front of him fully done up. I love capturing first looks, I never know how the couple will react.

Wedding Ceremony at the National Art Centre
The beauty of doing a first look is we can do all the important photos, even family before the ceremony. This way your guests can mingle and mix with everyone after without worrying about pictures (before the crying!). Rainy Day Wedding fun inside the NAC
This wet day meant we had to use the alternative locations for photos. As a team we found great locations indoors and we were even lucky enough for the rain to stop a little during “sunset” to go onto the balcony. We can’t thank them enough for choosing our team and for being so amazing to work with. If you are thinking about a Wedding at the NAC in Ottawa, look no further!
