Spring Wedding Temples Sugar Bush for the loveliest Mackenzie & Colten. The spring vibes at Temples are truly what I was hoping they’d be. The spring florals filled with colour this year are giving my heart so much joy! We were bursting with laughter all day with this beautiful family. No detail was left out and everything was perfectly planned. This day went off without a hitch and Luc and I are so thankful to have been able to capture it all.
Bridal Preparation at Temples – Changes
It was so lovely to see the changes Temples made to the bridal suite. They changed the floors from the red tile to the brown floor planks. They also added beautiful white sliding barn doors. Most people know that this space can feel a bit small, but these changes helped take it to the next level. Ideally removing more furniture would be my next recommendation such as shelving units and old chairs and covering up the large steal container, but it’s definitely going in the right direction.
The barn for the guys however does need some love. We opted to use the outdoor space this time and I am pleased we did. White washing or adding white lights in the space and removing the red furniture would definitely give the space a bit more life.
Spring Wedding Temples Sugar Bush in the Forest Ceremony
This was my first time capturing a ceremony in the forest. Usually I have been inside (like we did for Rebecca & Steve) or in the garden (with Dom & Steve) which are both so lovely. Luc has shot video before in the forest for Shai & Ray so I was excited to take some photos here. They had thermo-cells going to ensure no bugs and I can safely say I didn’t get one bite! They did have bug spray available which I thought was a nice touch.
First Looks & Nerves
Colten was filled with nerves when I first saw him before Mackenzie arrived. It was the sweetest thing. I truly love first looks for these very reasons. It’s a lot or pressure to add to your day without doing one. And I promise, emotions were still high during the ceremony. I saw so many tearing up, especially Mackenzie’s sweet dad as he walked her down the aisle. Generally I like to do Bridal party photos at this time while everyone looks fresh and even family photos if time permits, before all the tears happen.
We are so eternally grateful to everyone who made this day so special for the ever deserving Mackenzie and Colten. The room filled with love is total dreams come true.
